A sample of incidents reported to the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office for June 19.
4:33 p.m., Fillmore Township.
A deputy took a report from a business owner in the 4100 block of Blue Star Hwy after they discovered that someone had stole tires, rims and other items from behind the business.
6:16 p.m., Monterey Township.
A deputy was dispatched to a residential area in Monterey Township near Speck Lake in regards to a weapons offense. The deputy met with the witnesses who reported that the suspect had gone to a neighbor’s residence to argue about their Chihuahua coming into his yard. The suspect returned to his home after threatening the neighbor with turning his dogs loose to eat their dog. The suspect then exited his home with a shotgun and discharged the weapon into the ground as the neighbors and witnesses watched. The deputy arrested the suspect at the completion of the investigation for reckless discharge of a firearm.
8:16 p.m., Laketown Township.
A deputy was dispatched to check a suspicious vehicle in the area of Spruce Lane and Pine Drive in
Laketown Township. A caller reported a vehicle that appeared suspicious and was concerned. The caller also noticed a female subject show up at the vehicle and appeared to be going through it. The deputy was able to contact the subject and found that they were out gathering signatures for a petition.
11:52 p.m., Ganges Township.
A deputy was dispatched to a gas station on M-89 and Blue Star Hwy after a couple was spotted
smoking marijuana in the parking lot.
